Vancouver-based Pattison has filed a development permit application with the city. The proposed development site is located on the southeast corner of West Broadway and Balaclava Street, where businesses now occupy existing spaces.
Plans call for a four-storey residential component that would contain 61 units, along with a 13,103-square-foot grocery store. The condo units would include one-, two- and three-bedroom suites ranging in size from 429 sf to 1,058 sf.
The project’s total size would be 40,424 sf. Vancouver-based Formosis Architecture is designing the project.
The development company is owned by Vancouver-based billionaire Jim Pattison. The legendary entrepreneur owns a multitude of businesses in diverse industries, including the retail grocery sector.
