Peak Performance to Open Second Vancouver Store in November

Swedish mountain-apparel retailer Peak Performance will open a second store in Vancouver in late November, the company announced.

The new outlet will be located downtown at 813 Burrard Streeet and attempt to build on the success of what the company calls a “concept store” in the Kitsilano area that opened in 2023. But the Burrard Street location will be different, and bigger, than the 1,900-square-foot Kits store

“While the Kitsilano store was introduced as a ‘concept store,’ the new Burrard Street location takes things a step further,” said Marcus Grönberg, Peak’s Vancouver-based vice-president of global expansion. “This isn’t just a commercial expansion, it’s a statement. Burrard represents a bold step forward for our brand in North America, offering guests the most immersive Peak Performance experience to date.”

Shifting with the seasons, the new Burrard store will offer a curated, seasonally shifting selection of high-performance apparel for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and everyday urban adventure—all rooted in the brand’s commitment to functionality, innovation, and Scandinavian design. The larger Burrard store will feature an expanded product assortment.

Peak’s North American headquarters is based in North Vancouver. The three Vancouver-area locations form the core of the chain’s expansion into the broader North American market and function as hubs for their local communities while ensuring access to “technical apparel,” said Peak.

“Our aim, not only in North America but also globally, is to be recognized as a leader in technical outerwear at the intersection of performance and style,” said Grönberg.

The new downtown’s stores will officially open November 29.
