- Toronto-based Padlock has appointed Iyngaran Muniandy as CEO of Padlock Euro Storage Fund I and Padlock Partners UK Fund IV. Muniandy previous served as managing director of European real estate at Clear Sky Capital. He succeeds John Stevenson, who will remain a senior advisor to the trusts.
- Jay Littlejohn has joined Colliers as a senior vice-president and sales associate in Toronto. With over 26 years in brokerage and a career spanning more than three decades, Littlejohn specializes in office leasing and investment transactions.
- In another move, Colliers has agreed to acquire a controlling interest in Ethos Urban, an award-winning urban planning and design advisory firm in Australia. Ethos Urban’s senior leadership will retain a significant stake in the business under Colliers’ partnership model. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025, with a rebrand to Colliers set for the second half.
- Forum Asset Management has named Satish Rai and John Sullivan as vice-chairs. Rai formerly served with OMERS and TD Asset Management. Sullivan, ex-CEO of Cadillac Fairview, brings over 30 years of experience in acquisitions, asset management, and development.
- BGO has expanded the role of Stephen Michniewicz, the firm’s managing director of national commercial property management. He will now also oversee property management and operations across retail, office, and industrial teams in Canada.
- Frontenac Mortgage Investment Corp. has added Kevin Cruickshank to its board of directors to support its wind-up plan. A former CFO of Frontenac and W.A. Robinson Asset Management, Cruickshank brings over 20 years of leadership experience.
- Osler has named lawyers Ethan McCarthy as a partner in Toronto and Aarabhi Chari as an associate in Calgary. McCarthy specializes in procurement, design, engineering, construction, and administration of commercial and industrial infrastructure projects, including contract negotiations. He also advises clients on energy matters. Chari focuses on development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and secured debt financing.
- Unceded: Voices of the Land, a groundbreaking Indigenous-led contemporary architecture exhibition, will be showcased at Edmonton City Centre from March 8 to June 21. Originally created for the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale, Unceded is the first exhibition of its kind to be presented on the world stage, celebrating Indigenous architecture through the perspectives of 18 Indigenous architects and designers from across North America.
