Pino Di Mascio Joins SvN From Dream

Veteran planner Pino Di Mascio has joined SvN Architects as a partner from Dream REIT.

Di Mascio will focus on identifying and achieving advanced environmental and social outcomes, Toronto-based SvN said in a news release.

“We have admired Pino’s work throughout his career and look forward to seeing what he will do to further the firm’s role in shaping the next generation of sensitive development,” said Shonda Wong, an SvN partner in the release.

SvN designs and plans a variety of property types, including multi-family and mixed-use.

Di Mascio brings more than three decades of design experience to SvN. He moved to the company after spending the past two-and-a-half years with Dream, where he headed the REIT’s impact strategy and delivery. He has also held director, executive, partner and planner positions with Sidewalk Labs, Urban Strategies, Waterfront Toronto and the Princeton, N.J.-based Middlesex Somerset Mercer regional council.

He has also served as a part-time instructor at Toronto-based York University. Faculty of Environmental Studies.
