Prével, TGTA Launch 1,000-Unit Housing Project in Kirkland

Prével and TGTA Real Estate have officially launched the residential phase of a complete-neighbourhood project in Greater Montreal.

Construction has commenced on a nine-storey rental building with 252 units in the Village Lacey Green community located in Kirkland, Que., a suburb on the Island of Montreal. The partners said the building is the first structure in what will be an intergenerational facility located within a short walk of the Fairview-Pointe Claire station.

The Lacey Green Village development site is located in Kirkland, Que., a suburb on the Island of Montreal.

Located on the eastern portion of the property, the first building will be built above two levels of underground parking offers more than 193,000 square feet of net residential space. The suite mix includes 87 two-bedroom units and 36 three-bedroom units. The site includes 279 parking spaces equipped to support EV charging, along with 253 storage spaces and 252 bike racks.

The overall Lacey Green project is slated to include about 950 residential units, which will comprise mostly rental and condominium offerings, along with 111 townhouses and 47 lots for single-family homes.

“It is essential to pursue smart, well-planned density near REM stations to broaden access to high-quality public transit,” said Laurence Vincent, president of Prével. “My team and I are especially proud to have achieved this in true co-creation with residents, who established a genuine advisory committee, and with the full support of the Kirkland municipal administration, which was engaged, constructive and committed from day one. Together, we worked with diligence, respect and empathy, and with remarkable efficiency. There is no question that this approach merits being repeated.”

Founded more than 45 years ago, Prével specializes in developing mainly large-scale mixed projects in the central neighbourhoods of the Greater Montreal.

TGTA focuses on creating innovative and sustainable urban projects primarily in the Montreal region. The company strives to design spaces that harmoniously integrate into their environment while meeting the aspirations of local communities. TGTA has completed more than 7,000 housing units, along with major residential and commercial project. It participates actively in urban revitalization efforts that promote inclusivity and sustainability.
