Prime Farmland Near Regina to Be Auctioned Online

Almost 3,000 acres of prime farmland near Regina will be auctioned online in late September.

CLHBid.com announced that it will auction 2,290 acres of contiguous farmland, located 30 kilometres from Regina, on September 28.

The farm, dubbed First Class, is located in the northern half of the Regina Plain at the top of Springbrook Creek. The land will be sold as 12 parcels or one bloc.

Starting bids will range from $400,000 to $980,000 per parcel. CLH said it expects to draw interest from across Western Canada and Ontario, where prices of $20,000 per acre may be too costly for many producers.

CLH Bid is an offshoot of Grande Prairie, Alta.-based CLH Law. The company said it does not disclose the names of bidders and only reveals the purchaser to the seller as part of the closing process.
