Prominent Maple Ridge Location Ticketed for Redevelopment
A prominent property in the Vancouver suburb of Maple Ride, B.C., property is slated for redevelopment after being purchased by an unidentified buyer.
The 2.62-acre property fronts both Lougheed Highway and Dewdney Trunk Road near 206th Street. Many retail properties are situated along the two thoroughfares.
Redevelopment options may include a commercial project, or a mixed-use residential building in the high-traffic Lougheed corridor, says Goodman Commercial, a Vancouver-based brokerage company that brokered the sale.
“It’s basically a vacant lot with a small home on it,” Mark Goodman told Connect in an interview. “It’s a high-exposure location, designated commercially in the [official community plan.] It’s got flexible redevelopment options and the [required] zoning is there.”
The property was sold by a private family-owned company, he added. Subject conditions have been removed and the deal is expected to close at the end of May.
Goodman Commercial specializes in multi-family and land transactions, primarily in the Metro Vancouver region.
