Promise Robotics Developing New Warehouse in Calgary

Promise Robotics is expanding its production capacity with a new 60,000-square-foot warehouse in Calgary.

The new facility is under development is set to begin operations in the summer of 2025. The AI-driven company specializes in transforming industrial robots into autonomous production systems for home construction and expects the facility to produce up to 1 million square feet of housing annually.

The company’s factory-as-a-service (FaaS) platform enables homebuilders to scale production more efficiently, using fewer resources while integrating automation to streamline traditionally fragmented processes.

“This new factory marks a major technological and business milestone, strengthening our ability to support our expanding network of homebuilding partners across Canada and the U.S.,” said Ramtin Attar, CEO and co-founder of Promise Robotics. “The high cost and complexity of automation have long kept homebuilders from investing in factories, but Promise Robotics changes that. Our solution removes capital and expertise barriers, enabling builders to adopt automation and scale production confidently.”

Building on the success of the firm’s Edmonton facility, the Calgary expansion project will provide locally built homes using regional materials and supply chains, while also helping to mitigate skilled-labour shortages. The Promise technology allows for rapid deployment of its production systems in warehouses or temporary structures, offering a flexible, turnkey solution for builders.

By leveraging AI and robotics, Promise aims to position Canada as a leader in innovative home construction while fostering job creation and workforce development. Promise expects the Calgary facility to play a key role in supporting homebuilders as they work to meet increasing demand.
