Regina to Get Second Costco Warehouse Store
Costco will open a second wholesale warehouse store in Regina after the city approved the international retailer’s development application.
City council did not have to review the project because it qualifies as a discretionary use under the municipality’s zoning bylaw, according to the approved development application. Instead, the project was approved by the city’s development officer
Deborah Bryden fulfills the chief development officer role while also serving as deputy city manager of city planning and community services.
The store will be located at 8701 Dewdney, Avenue in the Westerra neighbourhood. The property will span 159,306 square feet and include a gas station.
Toronto-based engineering firm WSP Canada submitted the development application on Costco’s behalf.
