Shindico Purchases Winnipeg Shopping Centre

Shindico Realty has acquired a shopping centre in Winnipeg.

The 4.2-acre property is located at 1717-1755 Pembina Highway. The shopping centre includes local, regional and national tenants.

“For Shindico, it gives us a continuity on Pembina Highway of a dozen retail assets and the land next to Georgetown Apartments, recently acquired from another prominent Winnipeg family office,” said Sandy Shindleman, Winnipeg-based Shindico’s president and CEO, in a news release.

Shindico said the integration of the newly acquired shopping centre aligns seamlessly with the company’s commitment to enhancing its real estate portfolio and solidifies its position as a key player in the local market.

“The company looks forward to leveraging its expertise in property management to further enhance the value and appeal of this high-traffic retail destination,” said Shindico in the news release.

The seller and purchase price were not disclosed.

Shindico has been in expansion mode in recent months, mainly in Winnipeg. The Pembina acquisition comes after Shindico purchased the Renfrew Mall, located in the 1600 block of Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg, in early December.
