Shoppers Opens Seven Pharmacy-Clinic Stores in Surrey

Shoppers Drug Mart has completed the openings of seven pharmacy clinics in Surrey, B.C..

As the region experiences rapid growth, the seven new clinics aim to enhance access to primary healthcare services for the community. Shoppers installs its pharmacy clinics within new and existing stores.

Designed with patient convenience in mind, the clinics feature child-friendly exam rooms, accessible waiting areas, and an onsite “care concierge” to provide personalized support and ensure a seamless visit.

“The seven new clinic locations, with extended, after-hours care, are designed to directly support the community and take pressure off local emergency rooms and physicians,” said David Maxwell, the chain’s president. “This is about ensuring families can get the care they need, when they need it, right in their own neighbourhood.”

Patients have access to various pharmacy healthcare services, including the assessment and treatment of injuries and common conditions such as urinary tract infections and pink eye, all available free of charge with a valid B.C. health card.

The openings began in the spring and were slated to finish by year-end 2025.
