Simons Opens New Store in Eaton Centre
Simons has opened its first store in downtown Toronto, setting up shop at Eaton Centre.
The 112,000-square-foot store span three floors in the Cadillac Fairview-owned mall. The outlet features labels exclusive to Simons as well as international designers, local brands, and pieces by Canadian artists.
The structure is inspired by natural elements and leverage architecture by Lemay-Michaud Architecture, with the interior created by Toronto-based Gensler Design.
The opening gives Simons 19 stores across Canada and two in urban Toronto. The launch followed the opening of the retailer’s first one, at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in August. The two stores are part of a broader investment of nearly $100 million in the Greater Toronto Area that will create 400 new jobs across the region.
The new Toronto locations are part of the retailer’s continued national expansion.
