Simons to Open First Downtown Vancouver Store
Simons will open its first downtown Vancouver store at CF Pacific Centre in fall 2027, marking the retailer’s 20th location in Canada and its second in British Columbia, the clothing chain announced Tuesday.
The new store represents an investment of more than $55 million and is expected to create approximately 150 jobs, said the women’s fashion retailer. Simons added that the expansion reflects continued demand in B.C., where its Park Royal location has posted strong growth since opening, including more than 30% year-over-year growth in 2025.
The three-level store will span about 92,000 square feet and will be designed by McKinley Studios, with architecture by LemayMichaud. Simons said the concept will draw inspiration from Vancouver’s architectural heritage, referencing Brutalism and 1960s aesthetics.
“Vancouver is one of Canada’s most dynamic and inspiring retail markets, and we’re pleased to expand our presence here,” said Bernard Leblanc, president and CEO of Simons. “Our growth is guided by our customers and a desire to create spaces that reflect the communities we serve. The strong response in Western Canada has reinforced our commitment to the region, and we look forward to bringing a distinctive Simons experience to the downtown core – one that blends fashion, art and design while building meaningful connections with Vancouver’s diverse communities.”
Cadillac Fairview President and CEO Sal Iacono said the new store will directly reflect our shared commitment to creating unparalleled retail destinations.
Founded in Quebec City in 1840, Simons is Canada’s oldest private family-owned retailer and currently operates 19 stores across the country.
