Starlight Completes New Purpose-Built Rental Project in North Van
Starlight Investments has completed The Lively, a new purpose-built rental community in North Vancouver, B.C.
The project adds 40 rental homes to the Lower Lonsdale neighbourhood, offering a mix of studios, apartments and three-bedroom townhomes. Starlight said the development reflects its broader strategy to expand rental supply through a national pipeline set to deliver thousands of suites in the coming years.
“We are pleased to complete our first purpose-built rental development in this vibrant, growing neighbourhood in North Vancouver,” said David Woo, Starlight’s vice-president of development for Western Canada. “The Lively reinforces our commitment to building sustainable, inclusive rental communities that provide long-term quality of life to residents.”
Suites feature keyless entry, stainless steel appliances, in-suite laundry, LED lighting, smart thermostats and private balconies. Residents also have access to a rooftop terrace with views of Burrard Inlet and downtown Vancouver. The site, next to Victoria Park, offers walkable access to Lonsdale Avenue amenities, public transit, major roads, schools and the SeaBus terminal.
“Starlight is dedicated to providing much-needed rental housing for individuals and families across British Columbia,” said Howard Paskowitz, Starlight’s vice-president of development and public affairs. “We are proud to be part of the solution to the province’s housing needs, delivering new high-quality rental options in the region.”
City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan said the project will help strengthen the municipality’s housing supply.
“I’m especially pleased that four of these homes are dedicated below-market rentals for seniors, allowing them to live and thrive in our community thanks to the partnership between Starlight Investments, Hollyburn Community Services Society, and the City of North Vancouver,” said Buchanan.
Starlight says its national development pipeline is on track to deliver thousands of new rental homes over the next decade.
