Stong’s Opens New Supermarket in Surrey’s City Centre District

Stong’s Market has opened a new grocery store and flower shop in Lark Group’s City Centre 4 (CC4) mixed-use building in Surrey, B.C.

The grocery chain’s floral division, STEMS, has also opened a new location that will operate as a stand-alone site within CC4, which is part of the Lark Group’s Health and Technology District in the City Centre area..

“We understand the importance of our local communities, and becoming an integrated part of the places we call home,” said Brian Bradley, president of Stong’s. “With our commitment to supporting local vendors and unique fresh offerings, we look forward to meeting the unique needs of the Surrey community.”

Locally owned and operated Stong’s has been in business in southern B.C., for more than 90 years. The company has grocery stores in Vancouver, North Vancouver and Squamish, B.C.

CC4 comprises 354,468 square feet of triple-A strata office and retail spaces. The 24-storey building is the tallest of four mixed-use towers branded as City Centre within the Health and Technology District.

The Health and Technology District, now home to high-profile organizations like the UBC Master of Physical Therapy program, continues to grow as a dynamic hub of innovation, Surrey-based Lark said previously. The growth highlights Surrey’s expanding demand for office and business spaces, positioning it as one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities, the company added.

The City Centre 4 building is a development partnership between ICT Group and Lark.
