Tenants Show Increasing Demand for Hamilton, Vancouver, Regina Apartments
Multi-family tenants are showing increased demand for Hamilton, Vancouver and Regina, says a new report from RentCafe.
Hamilton made the largest jump on RentCafe’s renter-interest list in the third quarter, moving up 12 positions to 12th overall. Vancouver rose 11 places to No. 11, marking the only large city to see a major renter-engagement boost across all metrics in the third quarter. All of the other large markets are seeing declines. Regina climbed six spots to No. 3.
But Niagara Falls, Ont.; Oshawa, Ont.; and Montreal fell down the interest chart.
Niagara Falls saw the biggest drop, falling six rungs to No. 21, while Oshawa slipped five positions to No.16, and Montreal also fell five spots to No. 24.
Meanwhile, smaller markets like Halifax, Regina and Victoria, B.C. stood out.
Moncton, N.B., led all markets in the third quarter as previous leader Winnipeg dropped three spots to fourth overall.
