Teskey Takes Helm of Brookfield Asset Management
Connor Teskey was appointed CEO of Brookfield Asset Management on Wednesday.
He succeeds Bruce Flatt, who will continue to chair BAM’s board and remain as CEO of Brookfield Corporation.
BAM is a Canadian firm headquartered in New York for the purpose of gaining higher recognition from stock-market indices. The company ranks among the world’s largest alternative-asset managers with approximately US$1 trillion in assets under management.
Teskey has been with Brookfield since 2012, most recently serving as BAM’s president, after Flatt relinquished the role to him, and heading Brookfield Renewable Power & Transition.
Flatt stated previously that Teskey would succeed him as BAM’s president but did not specify a timeframe.
