Tip Top Opening Four Stores in Quebec After Long Absence

Men’s fashion retailer Tip Top is opening four new stores in Quebec after a two-decade absence from the province.

Two stores will open this fall, with a Montreal location launching October 19 at Ivanhoé Cambridge‘s Galeries d’Anjou mall. A Quebec City store will open November 2 at Oxford Properties‘ Galeries de la Capitale.

The remaining two stores will commence operations in early spring 2024, said Tip Top’s parent company Grafton Apparel in a news release. The four stores are modelled on the retailer’s event shop concept, which deploys less space and markets clothing intended largely for special occasions.

Referring to the new concept, Lance Itkoff, Toronto-based Grafton’s president and CEO, said Tip Top is returning to Quebec because nobody in the province is doing what the chain does. The news release not discuss Tip Top’s reasons for leaving Quebec.

Itkoff said the firm has targeted upwards of 20 Quebec malls for future Tip Top locations.
