Uniqlo to Open Five New Stores Across Canada
Uniqlo will open five new Canadian stores in fall 2026, expanding its national footprint to 42 locations.
The global Japanese apparel retailer announced new stores will open at St. Vital Centre in Winnipeg, Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, Que.; Tsawwassen Mills in Tsawwassen, B.C.; Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill, Ont.; and Conestoga Mall in Waterloo, Ont.
The expansion comes a decade after Uniqlo opened its first Canadian location in Toronto in 2016. The company said the new stores will strengthen its presence in key markets and provide more Canadians with access to its LifeWear apparel line.
“The opening of these new locations reflects our continued investment in communities where Canadian customers have embraced LifeWear,” said Yuya Tanahashi, chief operating officer of Uniqlo Canada. “We look forward to expanding our presence in these markets and creating even more opportunities for customers to experience UNIQLO.”
Each store will carry the retailer’s full range of LifeWear apparel for men, women, children and babies, along with seasonal collections and its UT (Uniqlo T-shirt) graphic T-shirt line. Customers will also have access to the company’s online shopping platform.
Founded in Hiroshima in 1984, Uniqlo now operates more than 2,500 stores worldwide. The company said its LifeWear apparel is designed around Japanese principles of simplicity, quality and longevity, with a focus on timeless design, comfort and functionality.
