Vera’s Burger Shack Expands into Alberta

Vera’s Burger Shack has expanded into Alberta through a franchise agreement.

The deal calls for a group of franchise partners to develop three Calgary locations, said Vancouver-based announced in a news release. The first Calgary restaurant will be located in the redeveloped Northland Shopping Centre in the city’s northwest. The eatery is expected to open in spring 2024.

“After over two decades refining our business, we believe it’s the right time to extend beyond the Lower Mainland of British Columbia,” said Gerald Tritt, Vera’s president and CEO.

Vera’s has operated in the Vancouver area since its inception in 1977.
