Wesgroup Scraps Condo Project in Vancouver’s River District

Wesgroup Properties has scrapped its 204-home Ardea condominium project in Vancouver’s River District.

The local investor and developer told Postmedia that the project is “no longer viable” due to “higher-than-expected construction and delivery costs.” Construction has already begun and an unspecified number of units have been presold.

The River District is a large community that sits on a former lumber-mill site along the Fraser River in southeast Vancouver.

Wesgroup says it is proceed with its Harlin condo project in the neighbourhood.
