Windsor Fashions Expanding into Canada

U.S. women’s wear retailer Windsor Fashions will expand into Canada with the openings of five stores this spring.

All of the stores will be located in Southern Ontario.

Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based Windsor has leased spaces in Hamilton’s CF Lime Ridge Mall, the Oshawa Centre, Richmond Hill’s Hillcrest Mall, Newmarket’s Upper Canada Mall, and Toronto’s Dufferin Mall.

Windsor was founded in 1937 by the Zekaria family, which continues to own and manage the company under the guidance of brothers Leon and Ike Zekaria. The chain sells a wide variety of women’s clothing, from formal dresses to workwear.

The Canadian stores will add to about 300 Windsor outlets in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
