World’s Largest Barbecue Store Closes

The world’s largest barbecue store has closed and its remaining assets are being auctioned off.

The Turn Up the Heat outlet occupied 50,000 square feet in Vaughan, Ont., in the Greater Toronto Area and sold top brands of barbecues, pizza ovens, fireplaces, patio furniture and grilling accessories.

But financial pressures took their toll on the retailer, which opened in the former BBQ World location Langstaff and Highway 400 in 2024.

“Due to a combination of many factors, including declining sales and increased overheads, the company was forced to close doors after being open for only four years,” said A.D. Hennick & Associates Inc. and Danbury Global Ltd., who are holding the online public auction until April 11.
