YETI Opens First International Store in Calgary’s Chinook Centre

Outdoor products retailer YETI has opened its first international store at CF Chinook Centre in southwest Calgary.

Dallas-based YETI has leased approximately 3,500 square feet in the Cadillac Fairview-owned and managed landmark mall. The store sells products ranging from coolers and drinkware to backpacks and bags.

“We are thrilled to welcome YETI to Calgary and Canada,” said Darren Milne, general manager for CF Chinook Centre, in a news release issued by Toronto-based Cadillac Fairview. “This highly anticipated opening reinforces our commitment to delivering best-in-class retail experiences, seamlessly blending style with quality products that set a new standard for retail excellence in Calgary.”

According to the news release, YETI has joined a roster of other first-to-market retailers at Chinook. Others include Louis Vuitton, Canada Goose and most recently Japan’s Uniqlo, which opened its first Calgary location.

CF Chinook Centre was rated as Canada’s fifth-most productive shopping centre in the latest ICSC rankings.
