Concert Acquires Downtown Vancouver Mixed-Use Building

Concert Properties has acquired a downtown Vancouver mixed-use building from Bosa Properties.

Vancouver-based Concert made the acquisition through its income-properties arm. The 10-storey building, named the Standard, is located at 1142 Granville Street.

The property includes 34,109 square feet of net rentable multi-residential area and two street-level retail units spanning 2,316 sf.

“We expanded the asset mix of Concert Income Properties in January 2023 to include multi-family residential rental properties, which provides greater opportunities to find quality assets like this,” said David Podmore, a company co-founder who heads the income-properties arm and chairs Concert’s board, in a news release. “This acquisition marks the first addition of a mixed-use residential rental building to the portfolio and builds on a history of growth and diversification.”

Vancouver-based Bosa developed the property and had owned and managed it since its 2013 completion.

Concert is owned by the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System. Christine Bergeron recently became Concert’s president and CEO.
