Goodman Among First ApartmentBuildings.com 100 Award Winners

Mark Goodman, co-founder of Goodman Commercial, is among the first winners of the Apartment Buildings.com 100 Awards. He was honoured in the Dealmakers of the Year category. Read about how he stands out among his peers in the Canadian multi-family sector.

By Amy Wolff Sorter

Mark Goodman has specialized in multi-family sales in Vancouver for more than two decades. He co-founded Goodman Commercial in 2002 with his father, David Goodman. Since then, he and his company have completed over 600 transactions totalling more than $4 billion in sales, making him a consistent market leader in Metro Vancouver multi-family transactions.

Deal highlights included the $21-million sale of the 41-unit Park Vista (Vancouver), the $29.5-million sale of the 72-unit Premiere (New Westminster, B.C.), and the $20.5-million sale of the 43-unit Bayside Towers (Vancouver).

Goodman sits on the Western Apartment Conference and Canadian Apartment Investment Conference advisory councils. He is also a panelist for events, including the Vancouver Real Estate Forum, Business in Vancouver and the Canadian Apartment Investment Conference. Goodman is also a media source, with research and op-eds published in publications such as the Vancouver Sun, the Globe & Mail, the National Post and the CBC.

These are some of the reasons why Mark Goodman was selected to receive an ApartmentBuildings.com 100 first-annual Dealmaker of the Year Award, which recognizes those who demonstrate creativity, skill and success in the multi-family sector.
