Leyad Expands into Manitoba with CDI Campus Purchase

Leyad has expanded into Manitoba through the acquisition of the CDI College campus in downtown Winnipeg.

Montreal-based Leyad purchased the property from Winnipeg-based Artis REIT. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Located at 280 Main Street, the property encompasses 24,000 square feet and has future high-rise development potential of up to 180,000 feet and 40 storeys, said Leyad in a news release.

“We look forward to leveraging our expertise to unlock the full potential of this exceptional property,” said Henry Zavriyev, founder and CEO of Leyad.

Zavriyev expressed a desire to participate in Winnipeg’s downtown renewal and acquire more assets in the city’s urban core.

“We see tremendous opportunity here,” he said. “The downtown area has experienced significant momentum in recent years.”

Leyad specializes in the design, construction, and management of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
