Toor Mixed-Use Hotel to Open in Downtown Toronto

Manga Hotel Group plans to open a 33-storey mixed-use tower in downtown Toronto this year.

Located on Jarvis Street just north of Moss Park, the property will comprise the company’s first Toor hotel and premium residential rental units. The hotel component will contain 232 guest rooms, while the residential portion will comprise 181 suites.

The project will include a French bistro and bar, yoga studio, 3,000-square-foot terrace and 1,100 sf of meeting space, among other amenities.

Toronto-based firms Arcadis IBI Group and DesignAgency are responsible for the tower and hotel-room designs, respectively.

Sukhdev Toor, Manga’s founder, president and CEO, announced the company’s plans in a news release. The development is the first of four Toor-branded boutique hotels scheduled to open in downtown Toronto over the next five years.

The first Toor hotel’s residential component will be located on the upper floors. Residents will be able to access hotel-style services and conveniences, said Manga. Occupancy is slated to commence in the summer.

Manga is a leading Canadian hospitality investment, development, and management group. The company’s portfolio includes 28 hotels.
