According to an Alberta government major projects webpage, the project had an estimated cost of $25 million.
Westrich Pacific is Edmonton-based multi-family real estate developer that specializes in high-rise projects across Western Canada. The firm has completed two million square feet of projects, another 680,000 sf under construction and 1.9 million sf in future projects, according to its website.
A number of apartment projects have been delivered in Edmonton in recent weeks. In early September, Maclab opened the 20-storey Laurent student rental-housing tower adjacent to the University of Alberta campus.
More multi-residential rental development projects may launch in Alberta after Ottawa lifted the GST on purpose-built apartment construction projects. Alberta does not have a provincial sales tax.
