Founded Hub City Property Management
Efforts facilitated investor entry into Moncton
Martin Jia Yu Mei is a real estate investor, strategist and founder of multiple property-focused ventures. His core duties include sourcing and underwriting properties in emerging East Coast markets like Moncton, structuring investment opportunities for out-of-province capital partners, and managing a vertically integrated platform focused on acquisitions, property management, and creative placemaking. Mei launched Hub City Property Management to handle investor service needs and tenant experiences.
His efforts facilitated investor entry into Moncton by packaging underutilized assets into turnkey opportunities with long-term upside. He also led the acquisition and repositioning of over 80 distressed properties using an ethical model, creating new rental stock for a supply-constrained market.
Mei mentors his internal team on deal structuring, market analysis, negotiation and tenant relationship management. He is a sought-after speaker for industry-leading panels in Canada and the U.S. and leads investor education initiatives.
Mei is actively involved with organizations such as Moncton Cares and Immigrant Services. He hosts tenant rights and real estate education workshops for new immigrants and mentors youth through school partnerships. Mei is involved with the Economic Development Department of Southeast New Brunswick and was named one of Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 30 Innovators Under 30.
These are just a few reasons we chose Martin Jia Yu Mei as one of Connect CRE Canada’s 2025 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
