Bertone Breaks Ground on Montreal-Area Apartment Building
Bertone has broken ground on a 225-unit multi-family real estate project in suburban Montreal.
Known as Kalm, the development is located in Candiac, Que., next door to Bertone’s Danaus 110-unit high-end condominium project and near a commuter train station.
Kalm is part of Montreal-based Bertone’s transit-oriented development program structured around a public-transit access point to foster sustainable mobility, the company said in a news release.
The 225 rental units will include one- to three-bedroom apartments and two-storey townhouses. Kalm will feature a boutique hotel-style lobby, fully equipped fitness centre, lounge and co-working spaces, and outdoor swimming pool.
The first units are scheduled for delivery in 2025.
Kalm joins a number of Greater Montreal Area rental-housing construction projects that have launched recently, including GWL Realty Advisors’ Le Livmore Ville-Marie downtown apartment tower and Omnia Technologies and Groupe HD’s Savana Sur Le Parc in the Triangle district.
