Helps His Company Grow its International Portfolio

Active Volunteer with Industry and Community Groups

One year into his career, Colton Creber lost his job.

He was laid off from his position as a corporate development analyst with Target in Toronto in 2015. But Creber did not let the disappointment get him down.

He quickly rebounded and found employment as a senior analyst with KingSett Capital’s portfolio management and development business in Toronto, setting the stage for several achievements with other major Canadian commercial real estate investment companies.

After three years with Kingsett, he joined QuadReal Property Group as an investment manager in the Ontario capital.

Two years later, he became a director of investment manager with Fiera Real Estate, another investment giant, in Toronto. Following a year in that role, he returned to QuadReal as the company’s director of investment management, working out of Toronto and Santa Monica, Calif., where he is currently based.

Earlier this year, he was appointed as QuadReal’s vice-president of international asset management.

When he is not helping Vancouver-based QuadReal grow its international portfolio, Creber gives back to the industry and partakes in community endeavours. He has led many special projects and mentor and contributed directly to programs designed for analysts and interns entering the company.

He is a longstanding volunteer with NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute, along with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He has also contributed his time to Toronto’s St. Michael’s and Sunnybrook hospitals’ foundations.

In whatever he does, Creber strives to deploy a welcoming approach.

“I try to prioritize warmth over all else,” he told Connect. “If it’s not fun to be at work, what’s the point?”
