Kay Locke
Has brokered deals spanning 4.9 million square feet
Was an inaugural member of CBRE's DEI committee
As a senior vice-president with CBRE, Kay Locke focuses on occupier and agency office leases as well as expanding into acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties.
Based in the firm’s Toronto West office, Locke works with a variety of parties, including; tenants, landlords, purchasers, vendors, developers and property management firms. Locke’s strong market knowledge and experience combined with the ability to leverage opportunities provides Kay with best-in-class results for her clients.
When serving tenants, she considers their current, mid-range and long-term needs. She seeks to tailor solutions around her clients’ business needs. But first, she takes the time to understand who her clients are, what they do and how they operate before proposing solutions.
Since beginning her career at CBRE in 2006, Locke has deployed a direct and straightforward approach to commercial real estate, demonstrating that she can earn the trust and respect of her clients. That approach has proven successful in her career, as she has represented tenants and landlords in more than 535 transactions totaling in excess of 4.9 million square feet.
Locke has won praise from many executives within the commercial real estate sector and other industries for her exceptional service. Within CBRE, she has helped the company become more diverse, equitable and inclusive. Locke was an inaugural member of CBRE’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee and strives to help the company do more in the way of CBRE. She also advocates for everyone in the industry to do likewise.
These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE honoured Kay Locke with a 2025 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. The awards celebrate the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
