Arleigh Hack
Obtained planning approvals for Toronto’s 520-acre YZD urban development
Built and leads Northcrest’s co-op student program
Arleigh Hack manages Northcrest’s consulting team with a rare balance of strategic rigor and approachability. As the company’s Manager, Development, Hack has built trust with the City of Toronto while advancing Northcrest’s vision. Internally, she ensures that Northcrest’s vision is integrated into the day-to-day execution of projects, aligning internal teams, consultants, and public sector stakeholders with precision and care.
Hack has advanced complex urban projects for seven years, with an arc that spans academic research, private sector consulting, and public-facing leadership at Northcrest. In one case, she secured planning approvals for the 520-acre YZD development (formerly Downsview Airport lands), one of the largest and most ambitious urban transformations in Toronto’s history.
Internally, Hack built and continues to lead Northcrest’s co-op program, personally selecting, mentoring, and developing students over four consecutive terms. She is active in the ULI’s Accelerating Accessibility Coalition (AAC), encouraging Northcrest to join as a founding member and serving as Co-Chair of the Engagement and Outreach Committee.
Hack is also on the Steering Committee for the ULI Curtner Urban Leadership Program for mid-career professionals and was the Volunteer Facilitator and Speaker for the ULI UrbanPlan program.
She is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP).
These are just a few reasons we chose Arleigh Hack as one of Connect CRE Canada’s 2025 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
