Company:

Oberfeld Snowcap

Uses Her Retailing Background to Help Predict Trends

Volunteers with ICSC

Daniela Michel joined Oberfeld Snowcap in 2021 as the firm’s marketing and events co-ordinator, based in Toronto.

Since then, she has advanced to the marketing and events director position. In her current role, she leads national marketing initiatives, helping shape the company’s brand presence and strengthen connections across Canada’s retail real estate sector.

Before joining Oberfeld Snowcap, Michel built her career through marketing roles in both the fashion and finance industries, developing expertise in brand strategy, client engagement and campaign execution. She has earned a reputation for delivering impactful marketing initiatives that reflect company values, support client portfolios and drive growth.

Growing up in a family involved in retail operations and expansion gave Michel an early understanding of the retail landscape and market dynamics. This background has shaped her ability to anticipate trends while bringing a tailored, relationship-focused approach to client service and team collaboration.

Known as a connector within Toronto’s retail real estate community, she plays an active role in fostering industry relationships and professional networks. She serves as an ICSC ambassador for events including the LOCAL Toronto Golf Tournament and is widely recognized for her ability to bring people together through meaningful industry engagement.

Michel is also a co-founder of ICSC’s CRE Marketing Exchange and Lease & Launch programs. The efforts demonstrate Michel’s commitment to building platforms that support collaboration, innovation and growth within the commercial real estate industry.

These are just a few reasons why we chose Daniela Michel as one of the 2026 Canadian Next Generation Award winners. The annual awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
