Colliers Team Spearheads a 605,000-Square-Foot Design-Build Lease for Princess Auto

Company:

Colliers

Colliers’ Josh Magnussen and Paul Marsden led the Calgary team that successfully commenced and closed a 605,000 square-foot distribution centre design-build deal for Princess Auto.

The transaction represents an expansion for the Canadian retail chain. The tenant will move from its 265,000-square-foot building in Winnipeg to the new site at Dwight McLellan Trail and 114 Avenue NE in Balzac, AB’s Stoney North Logistics Centre in 2026.

The Colliers team worked with Enright and GWL Realty Advisors on the build-to-suit, which can be expanded to 730,000 square feet.

This deal was significant, as it represents substantial growth for Princess Auto and continued reinforcement of Greater Calgary as the company’s Western Canadian distribution hub.

These are some of the reasons why Josh Magnussen and Paul Marsden were honoured with a Connect Canadian Transactions of the Year Award for their work on behalf of Princess Auto. The award highlights deals and closings impacting Canada’s commercial real estate sector.
