Sources Capital, Underwrites Complex Transactions and Advises Developers and Investors
Claudia Etwyse is a commercial mortgage broker and advisor with Mortgage Alliance, where she specializes in structuring and securing financing for multi-residential, construction and institutional-grade assets across Canada.
She sources capital, underwrites complex transactions and advises developers and investors on optimal capital structures. Etwyse works closely with institutional lenders, including CMHC-approved programs, to deliver financing solutions for affordable housing, retirement residences and construction development projects.
Her notable transactions include securing approval for a $19-million affordable-housing grant with the City of Toronto, structuring and funding a $9.8 million CMHC-insured mortgage for a seniors living/retirement residence and securing a $3.2-million housing grant under the CMHC affordable housing initiative.
Etwyse is the Co-Founder of E1R1 (Each One Reach One), a non-profit initiative focused on delivering financial literacy education to youth. She is also on the board of directors for the Western Ottawa Community Resources Centre.
She has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Black Women to Watch by the Canada International Black Women Excellence (CIBWE) organization. Etwyse also received the CMP Rising Star Award and is consistently ranked within the top 20% of Mortgage Alliance brokers.
These are just a few reasons why we chose Claudia Etwyse as one of the 2026 Canadian Next Generation Award winners. Connect’s annual Canadian Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
