Khan Strives to Serve the Public Good, Mentor Aspiring Architects
Leads Firm's Diversity in Design Annual Summer Camp
Involved with Site-Specific Installations Across North America
Suleman Khan is an architect and project lead at Toronto-based Raw Design, specializing in end-to-end delivery of large-scale multi-residential and mixed-use developments.
A licensed Ontario Association of Architects member, he defines his practice by a rigorous commitment to tectonic expression and technical precision, ensuring that conceptual intent is seamlessly translated through construction to occupancy.
In conjunction with his architectural work, he co-leads Raw’s public realm and art initiatives. His experience in this sector has involved the development of site-specific installations across North America, designed to transform urban environments into venues for cultural exchange. By focusing on tectonic detailing and shared place, Khan aims to create public works that invite active participation and foster a sense of shared place.
Outside of his usual practice, he directs Raw’s annual Design in Diversity summer camp. Held annually, the camp is open to students in grade 6 to 12 and aims to inspire dreams of careers in architecture. Khan regards the mentorship program as a core component of his professional mission to expand architecture’s reach and empower underrepresented youth through hands-on design exploration and professional advocacy. His multidisciplinary approach ensures that every project —whether a high-rise development or a public art piece — is rooted in equity, excellence, and a commitment to the public good.
These are just a few reasons why we chose Suleman Khan as one of Connect CRE Canada’s 2026 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
